Rachel Plummer-an alumna of Yale University and member
of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators
(SCBWI)-has been a writer-for-hire for the best-selling
Sweet Valley Twins series since 1992.
Since winning an award from Writers' Digest for her young
adult novel, The Painting in the Attic, as one
of the best self-published books of 2001, Rachel has begun
work on a number of other projects. In addition to her
write-for-hire work, she is penning a sequel to Painting,
finishing a young adult horror novel, and working
on a middle grade series of her own.
Rachel also teaches writing to both teens and adults in
the South Florida area, and is a frequent speaker at conferences
and seminars on novel writing.
With the publication of her first non-fiction e-book,
5 Little Words that Guarantee Your Publishing Success,
Rachel hopes to reach as many aspiring writers as she
can in order to offer them the kind of help she wishes
she had when she was trying to break into print.
Rachel lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with her husband,
where the summers are much too hot, but the winters are
amazing, except for Christmas time, when she has no choice
but to head back to New England to see the snow.
